Dispersive Mirrors

When a pulse is generated in an ultrafast laser system, its duration is usually longer than desired due to Group Delay Dispersion (GDD) introduced by the laser itself. For the pulse to be shorter and have a higher peak power, carefully designed dispersive laser optics, such as GTI Mirrors, Chirped Mirrors or Chirped Mirror Pairs have to be used in the system to compensate for the Group Delay Dispersion. Since dispersive mirrors are used in ultrafast lasers, they must withstand extreme light intensities. Here, at OPTOSHOP, GTI mirrors, Chirped mirrors and Chirped Mirror Pairs, are made just for that – they feature excellent spectral performance, high LIDT, and precisely controlled Group Delay Dispersion (GDD).
