These highly reflective 213 nm deep-UV dielectric mirrors are used for beam steering and folding in frequency-converted Nd:YAG laser systems (fifth-harmonic) where short-wavelength photons enable strong absorption and fine-feature processing. They are commonly integrated into deep-UV micromachining and materials research setups for precision ablation and surface modification of polymers, dielectrics, and thin films, as well as in DUV beam delivery layouts for micro/nanofabrication and semiconductor process development where clean UV routing and stable pointing are critical. Their low-loss, UV-robust coatings and high LIDT support reliable long-term operation in DUV beam paths where contamination sensitivity, optical fatigue, and thermal drift quickly limit standard UV mirrors.

OPTOMAN’s Deep-UV IBS-coated Laser Mirrors are designed to deliver high reflectivity, and low absorption for reliable performance in ultraviolet laser applications. With coatings engineered specifically for the challenges of DUV wavelengths, these mirrors provide excellent resistance to environmental stress, and long-term optical stability under high average power or high repetition rate conditions.

These mirrors are optimized for operation at 213 nm and a 45° angle of incidence, ensuring stable and efficient reflection of Nd:YAG V harmonic laser beams.

IBS dielectric coatings advantages for Nd:YAG V harmonic compared to other solutions in the market:

  • No Aging (reflectance does not change over time)
  • Longer lifetime
  • Low loss and absorption
