These highly reflective 355 nm UV dielectric mirrors are used for beam steering and folding in third-harmonic Nd:YAG/Nd:YVO₄ laser systems and UV-converted ultrafast platforms where shorter wavelengths enable smaller features and different absorption regimes. They are commonly integrated into UV micromachining and materials research setups for glass and ceramic processing, precision ablation and surface structuring, polymer processing and UV curing studies, through glass via (TGV) formation, as well as UV beam delivery layouts for microfabrication where clean routing and stable pointing are critical. Their low-loss UV coatings and high LIDT support reliable long-term operation in UV beam paths where thermal drift and UV-induced degradation can quickly limit standard mirrors.
